Reflex Angle Calculator
Reflex angle calculator is an angle calculator web tool that helps you to easily calculate the reflex angle. You have just enter the measure of the primary angle in the input field and then click on the 'Calculate' button.
This button automatically calculates and displays the result to you.
What is a Reflex Angle?
A reflex angle is an angle that is greater than 180 degrees but less than 360 degrees. A reflex angle and the corresponding angle that lies on the other side of it together form a complete angle of 360 degrees.
Note: A reflex angle is always greater than a straight angle (180 degrees) and less than a complete angle (360 degrees).
How to Calculate a Reflex Angle?
The primary angle and the reflex angle together make up the complete angle which is equal to 360 degrees. Therefore, we can also write this as, Primary Angle + Reflex Angle = 360.
Reflex Angle = 360 - Primary Angle
Note that the primary angle can be an acute angle, right angle, or obtuse angle. In all cases, the primary angle should be less than or equal to a straight angle. Whereas, the reflex angle should always be greater than 180 degrees.
Example: Find the reflex angle of 120 degrees.
In this problem, we have Primary Angle = 120 degrees
Using the reflex angle formula, we get:
Reflex Angle = 360 - Primary Angle = 360 - 120 = 240 degrees.
Therefore, the reflex angle is 240 degrees.
