How to Convert Cubic Feet to Square Feet?

Cubic feet is a unit of volume whereas square feet is a unit of area. Due to this, there is not any direct approach to convert the two. But still, we can calculate how many square feet of area are there in the cubic feet. For this, we should have the measurement of one side of the cube.

Since the length of all sides of the cube is the same, then you can take the measure of any side of the cube. Once you have the cubic feet and length of one side, then you can easily calculate the square feet using the following formula:

Square Feet (sq ft) = Cubic Feet (cu ft) / Length of Any Side

Example: If the cubic feet is 125 and the height is 5 ft, then find the square feet.

We have cubic feet = 125 and height = 5 ft

Now, by using the above formula, we get:

Square feet (sq ft) = Cubic Feet (cu ft) / Height => 125 / 5 => 25.

Therefore, Square feet = 25 sq ft.
